To alleviate irritated skin try taking oatmeal bath , it is very calming and soothing.
Tie 1lb of uncooked oatmeal in an old pantyhose and hang it under the hot water faucet when running your bath. As the water flows through the oats, they will release their calming agents . Drop the oatmeal pantyhose into the water or use it as sponge. Relax for about 20 minutes , long enough to allow the chemicals from the oats to infiltrate the skin. Then gently pat skin dry with a towel.
