Meditation to release stress and worries

In doing meditation to release stress sit down in a room where there will be no distractions. If possible sit cross-legged on the floor. Now think of a simple sound to make , such as "00" or "aah" - dont worry if it sounds silly, no one else will hear. Repeat the sound out aloud. As you do so, try emptying your mind of any worries or concerns you may have - paying the bills, laundering the drapes, what to cook for dinner. Stay focused on the sound you are making and nothing else but that sound. Continue repeating the sound for at least 5 minutes. Then sit quietly for a few minutes. You have had your first meditation. Now whenever you feel over-stressed or worried , try meditating. It's the perfect answer for helping relieve stress and improves the memory too.
